Do you shop mindfully for your wardrobe?
Let me ask you a question “Do you shop intentionally for your wardrobe?”
My answer for this would have been “wtf do you mean” if you asked me few years ago lol
When you shop for a clothing item, it is important to make sure you are shopping with intention. Without it, you will just buy clothe just to buy them and end up saying “I have nothing to wear”
It’s important for us consumers to be mindful when we shop. Our responsibility is to make sure we don’t create waste.
It’s important to have a plan when you are shopping for your wardrobe. If you don’t, that might lead to impulse buying.
When you don’t have a solid wardrobe and add items just to add them, you will still end up with no outfit despite the money you spent! or the numbers of items you have in your closet!
Now, what’s something you need in your wardrobe? Basics.
Okay, but when I say basics, I don’t just mean plain white tee, jeans, tank tops and etc
Basics are something that will create versatility into your wardrobe. If a plain white tee is not going to make you want to wear it, that isn’t your basics. If you can create multiple looks with a red blazer, for example, that will be Your Basic.
70-80% of your wardrobe should be basics to create more versatility, I know that’s a lot. But it also has to reflect YOUR STYLE.
Building up your wardrobe with basics is an essential step. Because the amount of clothes that’s sitting in your closet doesn’t matter if you can’t create a look. Without any basics, you will end up with no outfits.
Start building up your wardrobe with basics that speak to your style! This will allow you to focus on what you need in your wardrobe and have a “plan” when shopping!
