Why getting clear on your style is important

Why is it important to have clarity in your style?

If you want to work on something, in general, you’ll want to have a sense of direction right?

That’s why many people create a vision board at the beginning of the year, or make a Pinterest board for their future home.

When you’re working on a project, you’ll most likely have a vision towards it.

Same with style!

You want to be clear before you start getting rid of items in your wardrobe or buying items that don’t serve you fully. Because without understanding your style, you’re more likely to repeat the process of “purging” & “buying”.

Now, many of you may already have an understanding of what your style wants to look like.

You might have a celebrity that you admire for their personal style.

Or even have a Pinterest board for your ideal style!

If you do have these resources already, that’s great because you have some direction on you’re going towards,

but sometimes these may not be enough.

Even with these inspirations you have or don’t have at all, you can feel stressed and overwhelmed when working on your style.

You “kinda” know your style… but “kinda” isn’t going to help you understand fully

Your personal style is UNIQUE TO YOU. It needs to be clear to you.

The clearer you get with your style, it will help you…

- understand which piece to invest in

- decide which item to keep or donate

- get rid of overwhelmingness

- build up a functional wardrobe

- shop mindfully instead of impulse buying

- make a purchase for yourself instead of what society think is “flattering” to you

List goes on and on!

Getting clear and understanding your personal style is an ESSENTIAL STEP in your style journey!

However, it is often skipped.
